Hello everybody
Welcome to my personal webpage, blog, or whatever it’s called—the place where I keep all the things I’ve found on the internet that I think are important. I can read them later line by line so I don’t forget. The content may not be mine; it may be copied and pasted from another website, Facebook, or other social media, but I always make sure to mention the source.
This page is about my information, as on QRZ.com. I’m Sapuan from Malacca, Malaysia, also known as Romzi, my radio nickname. It’s nice to meet you.
I’m interested in amateur radio (callsign 9W2FRP), the Linux operating system (server and desktop), and anything related to it. Much of it is self-taught through experiments.
I spent 14 years of my youth in military service, initially with the army infantry (Ranger), army supporting units, and later with the National Service Department. Currently, I’m self-employed, running a small home business related to Linux servers, simple website design, and other services.
Many of my friends ask me why my nickname is Romzi instead of my real name, Sapuan. The answer lies in remembrance of my late mother. She wanted that name to be given to me at birth, according to her. Unfortunately, my late father registered his chosen name earlier, which is Sapuan. There’s nothing wrong with my real name; I just miss my late mother.
